Business Challenge
This light manufacturing company used both two disparate CRM systems, Great Plains and Microsoft CRM systems, neither of which would talk to the other. Excel spreadsheets were also used for customer service to manually enter handwritten orders into the system. The organization's IT specialist would work at least three hours a day making sure both systems were working correctly so that the data would be consistent and correct. If the data was even 1% off, then all of it was considered bad, which led to lost trust from management who had no confidence in the accuracy of the information.
Solution
HighTower talked with the customer and determined that they needed one functional system instead of multiple systems. NetSuite was implemented, which allowed all company departments to see the information they needed, and greatly reduced the chance for error by virtually eliminating manual data entry.
Results
Today, the company is able to:
- save time and money on systems checking
- improve management's trust in the system through accurate data
