Business Challenge
This not-for profit organization was using Microsoft Access for all of their CRM activities and QuickBooks for their accounting. It was critical for them to keep accurate track of all of their donors and to be able to quickly find donation information based on specific individuals or groups-yet most of their accounting information had to be handwritten and then entered into QuickBooks manually, a slow, error-prone process. They also wanted a way to be able to take donations directly on their web site.
Solution
HighTower determined that the customer needed an all-in-one system that included accounting, CRM and e-commerce functionality. Implementing NetSuite gave them the ability to work everything off of one central system.
Results
With this solution, the company was able to eliminate their paper trail for accounting and accurately track all of their donor data. Because they know exactly who is donating when and how much, they are now able to "upsell" donors to higher amounts. NetSuite also gave the organization e-commerce functionality, enabling them to build a web "store" where donors can register, make donations, and purchase books or items directly on the site, with data from these activities entered into the system immediately. All of these new functionalities save them time, effort and money-critical resources for an organization dependent on the generosity of others.
